PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

August 2018–Present

COURSE DEVELOPER, UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA

Clarissa works at the Office of Digital Learning assisting with content for OU's online master's programs. She storyboards promotional, overview and lecture videos and designs graphic assets. She structures materials on Canvas and provides quality assurance. Clarissa assists with course survey and benchmarking and ensures that courses meet accessibility standards.

September 2014–May 2018

LIBRARY ASSISTANT, TEXAS COLLECTION

Clarissa preserved library materials related to Texas. She worked on a project to discover periodicals shelved in different sections of the library stacks. She also created Mylar and acid-free folders to protect fragile newspapers and retrieved resources requested by patrons. She utilized her attention to detail and fair eye to ensure a clean and presentable product.

BAYLOR UNITED FOR UNICEF VICE-PRESIDENT

Baylor United for UNICEF is Baylor University's first-ever student organization solely focused on fundraising for UNICEF. Clarissa is one of the 3 original founders of this club. She organized meetings and events, monitored relations with UNICEF and acted as chair of the organization's Judicial Review Board. She served as team leader for the campus-wide semesterly day of volunteering, Steppin' Out, from Fall 2016 to Spring 2018.

During the second annual OU Online Conference at the University of Oklahoma, I presented in a breakout session regarding Universal Design for Learning and Accessibility for online courses. Attendees included program directors, faculty members, and other individuals involved in online learning.

I co-presented on a presentation directed for faculty and those involved in online learning regarding usability, readability, and accessibility in online courses. This session also included interactive breakout sessions for participants to practice what they learned.

ODL EMERGENCY REMOTE TEACHING WEBINAR SERIES

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Oklahoma's Office of Digital Learning offered a webinar series for the emergency shift to online teaching. My webinar focused on student-centered learning, accessibility, usability, and quality assurance.
